我想的一直都是自己
all I have been thinking about is myself.
我得想清楚怎样做自己
I had to figure out how to...be me.
我以前是个总是很开心的人
I used to be someone who was always happy.
每天都很快乐
I woke up happy.
我以前还在上班时滑旱冰
I was someone who used to skate at work.
然后就发生了这个
And then this happened,
一切都很艰难
and everything was hard
所有事都要先考虑清楚作出计划
and everything took thought and -- and planning.
我的生活好像不再适合我了
And my life felt like it didn't fit me anymore.

And I just -- I wanted --
我想把一切推倒重来
I wanted to tear it all down and start over,
抛开这些找到一个适合现在的我的生活
just throw it away and find a life that fit who I am now.
但我又开始找回自我了
But I'm starting to feel like I know who I am again.
我不得不抛弃一些东西
And I've had to give up things,
但我认识到自己要的并不多
but what I've learned is that I don't need much.
要快乐并不难
I don't need much to be happy.
甚至不需要有两条腿
I don't even need two legs.
但我知道我需要你
But I do know... that I need you.
我需要索菲亚
I need Sofia,
我需要你
and I need you.
我害怕
And I'm -- I'm afraid,
现在我终于知道了
now that I've learned all of that,
是我自己逼得你放弃了我
that I made you give up on me.
也许是因为当我们发现
Maybe because when we see
熬过苦难并不要多少东西
how little we actually need to survive...
你不应该放弃任何东西
You shouldn't have to give up anything.
此时我们才能意识到自己是多么坚强
...it makes us realize how powerful we actually are.
只为自己所求而妥协
To strip down to only what we need.

She's what you wanted.
你不应该放弃那样的未来
You don't just throw away a future like that.

I want you to be happy.

还是说你只是希望我重新开始
Or do you just want to see me squared away?
这是什么意思
What does that mean?!
就是说你希望我
It means, uh, you want to see me,
得到我想要的
you know, get what I want
这样你就不用再感到内疚了
so you don't have to feel guilty anymore.
内疚什么
About what?
内疚你没有给我我想要的
About not giving it to me.
对不对
Right?
要么是那样
It's either that,
要么是你想等着我结婚
or you just want to see me get married off
你好强迫自己不再想我
so you're forced to stop thinking about me.
正是就是这原因

为了我们不能放弃的坚持
To hang on only to what we can't do without.

What we need...
不仅仅是要战胜苦难
not just to survive...
很好

还要更好地生活下去
...but to thrive.
