Well, these maps aren't exactly to scale,

so whatever it is could be anywhere.

Well, Wolfach was probably a lot smaller then than it is now.

Okay, according to this, it's been around since 1084

and probably goes as far back as the Romans.

Well, at least we know some kind of village was there.

There's three rivers that all converge near Wolfach.
