The Vietnam Veterans finally
get their ticker tape

decade later in New York City.

himself with Mayor Ed Koch,

want to go to it.

that my father said

That's one of the
reasons I went.

I didn't know anybody
there from my unit

because we had all scattered,
and things like that,

but as I said, I was
going to college at night,

and I had a lot of Marines
over there in Vietnam

friendship with these guys

These fellows told me
to go march with them

so I marched with

somebody in the group.

rewarding experience
