Henry VIII needed lots of young fit men for the English army.

And so many people were getting injured playing Tudor football,

that in 1540 Henry made it illegal.

was the one the Russians and the Germans
在斯大林格勒的战役 就在这里
had over the city of Stalingrad, here.
这一仗持续了七个月之久
It lasted for seven months
苏联进入严冬后
and in the cruel Russian winter,
德军的给养迅速消耗殆尽
the Germans soon ran out of supplies
不得不就地取材
and had to improvise,
其手段真是令人毛骨悚然
in the most gruesome of ways.
