it had already gone.

And he found Simon Lake murdered.
骗局共有三个人参与
There were three of them involved in the fraud.
雷克雇皮克曼画草稿
Lake paid Pickman to draft a design,

supposedly by Fabergé, in order to create false provenance.

How did they come by it in the first place?
皮克曼解释了
Pickman explained.

They were young soldiers at a camp for displaced persons

on the East German border,

where he transported some refugees to the West

in exchange for the egg.

But without the provenance, it's worthless.

So they bided their time and set it by against the time

when they could do something with it.

So where does that leave us?

Could Pickman have killed Lake and the rest,
