The first, during the Salem Witch Trials in 1692.
女巫团决定南迁
The coven had decided to flee south,
逃离塞勒姆
away from Salem
躲避终极审判庭的迫♥害♥
and the persecution of the Court of Oyer and Terminer.
当时在位的超级女巫普鲁登斯·马瑟
The reigning Supreme at that time, Prudence Mather,
身患肺痨
suffered from consumption,
自知撑不过长途跋涉的迁移
and knew she would be too weak to make the journey.

She gathered her witches and invoked the Sacred Taking.

It's the most hallowed sacrifice a Supreme can make.

Prudence took her own life,
