high school, Sierra Canyon,

and today is their Mental Health Day.

So, they invited me to come speak
and answer some questions,

and forged my parents' names

the Instagram app outta my phone

Maybe, like, the first day
is a little bit of a shock

'cause you're going through your phone
and you're kinda naturally
但过了前一两天后，感觉会非常棒
looking for that app,
but it feels so incredible
after the first day or two
至少停用社群媒体几天或几星期
and going at least a couple days
or a week without it

is one of the most liberating
and amazing feelings.

It's actually just so good for your brain
to turn it off for a little while
and, um, be in the real world

for kids in high school,

we can all fall into, like,
negative patterns on the internet

and, ya know, see things
that we don't really care to see
因而不开心
that might bring us down,
so I like to just remove myself, um,
所以我会想暂时离开

so I find it very healthy.
I like doing it.

What was interesting, I think,

when I started to open up about

I guess my, my mental health
publicly was I didn't--
我其实是真心在跟大家分享我的感受
I was doing it out of genuine, like,
"This is kinda how I feel."
我一直都会很介意
自己应该跟大家分享多少
And I always had
this weird thing about like,
"How much do I wanna share?"
I'm-I'm a relatively more private person.
我是相对比较低调的人
但我某一天突然有一股灵感
就开始分享一些事
Something just kinda
came over me one day.
I kinda started sharing things
结果我发现带来的好处
and the positive thing
that I saw come out of it
就是能让其他人感到不那麽孤单
was making other people feel less alone.
大家的反应很好，但重点并不在于我
It, it was well-received
in a way that wasn't about me.
而是在于让其他人感受到
It was about everybody else feeling like,
「哇，这让我觉得比较不孤单
或是让我对自己遇到的状况
"Oh, wow, this makes me
feel a little bit less alone
感到更安心了一点」
or a little bit better
about what I'm dealing with."

我觉得坎达儿能回到高中母校分享
I think it's really special
that Kendall can revisit her high school
她面对恐慌症和心理健康的主张很棒
to share her message about how she feels
and deals with anxiety and mental health
这些事在早期都是禁忌话题
and all these things that were
so taboo to talk about back in the day.
我非常以她为荣
And I was so proud of her.
