The youngest, a boy, fell into a pond and drowned.

At first, they said the older sister was to blame.

But then it turned out there was another story.

One of the neighbours said the mother herself had done it.

Got angry with the boy.

Pushed him in the pond. Held him under.

She breaks down under questioning.

I mean, she went raving mad.

Had to be hospitalised.

She spends years in treatment.
