从前有个伟大的贵族
There once was a great nobleman
名叫尤瑟夫·萨杜
named Jusef Sardu.
从童年开始他就饱受巨人症困扰
Since childhood, he suffered from gigantism.
他的身体不断衰老
His body was aged,
他的骨头弯曲疼痛不堪
his bones were bent and riddled with aches,
所以他不得不拄拐而行
so he was forced to walk with a cane.
他的手杖是一柄精美的剑拐
His was a beautiful sword-cane
有着白金的杖柄和银质的刀刃
with a white-gold handle and a silver blade.
孩子们都过来
他的疾病使他意识到生命的脆弱
His disease made him aware of the frailty of life.

So as a result, he was very kind to others,

especially children.
但是萨杜的哥哥
However, Sardu's brother,
男爵大人为自己弟弟的疾病感到羞耻
the Baron, was shamed by his sibling's affliction.
他组织了一场狩猎
He organized a hunting trip
队伍由他的弟弟和堂兄弟组成
with his brother and his cousins,
因为他相信伟大的灰狼之血
because he believed the blood of the Great Grey Wolf
可以治愈困扰尤瑟夫的病症
could cure the disease afflicting Jusef.
日复一日
Day after day,

they walked in search of the Great Grey Wolf.

But...
某些非狼的生物也生活在密林中
something other than a wolf was alive in the woods.

而且它开始狩猎他们了
And it started hunting them.
狩猎小队的成员一个接一个离开了
One by one, the members of the hunting party left...
直到尤瑟夫发现自己孤身一人
until Jusef found himself completely alone.
他心中愈发地确信
A certainty grew in his heart:
他的兄弟们都死了
his brethren were dead,
现在只有他来杀死怪物了
and it was up to him to kill the beast
至死方休
or die trying.
喝完你的汤亚伯拉罕
Finish your soup, Abraham,
然后我再把故事讲完
and I'll finish my tale.
当他终于与那个怪物相遇时
When he finally encountered the creature...
那根本不是一头狼
it was not a wolf at all.
那是一种古老而饥渴的生物
It was an ancient, hungry being.
当它盯着那巨大的身躯时
And as it gazed at the giant's body,
它露出了微笑
it smiled.
年轻的猎人啊
Young hunter.

So, you think you're going to kill me... with that?

I can smell the silver on the blade.

几周后萨杜返回村庄
Sardu returned to his village weeks later,
但自此人们就再没见他走出过城♥堡♥
but was never again seen outside his castle walls.
至少白天不会出现
Not in daylight that is.
有人说他变了许多
Some say he was much changed.
不久
And soon,
村里的小孩开始不断失踪
young children began disappearing from the village,
在夜里从床上消失不见
vanishing from their beds at night.
虽然没人再见过萨杜
And while no one ever saw Sardu again,
但有人说晚上听见过他的手杖声
some say they heard his cane in the night.

Evil...
