BERTIE: I'm in Raja Ampat,
a remote group of islands in Indonesia.

700 miles north of Australia.

I've brought a team here to film a devil ray

a secretive and endangered relative of the manta ray.

There are 1500 islands in Raja Ampat,

that's a lot of pinch points.

First on our hit list is The Gorgonian Passage.

The currents that rip through this channel are too strong
to swim against.

Once we jump in we'll have to go with the flow.

We'll start at the northern end of the passage,
