I guess in the confusion of all that dust, they managed to single out that calf.

But I'm relieved that the dogs have made such an important kill.

Well, that was pretty crazy, wasn't it?

I actually lost the calf in the dust,

and that must have been when the dogs hit it.

Um, and yeah, there was just dust, and buffalo, and dogs, everywhere.

None of us were expecting to see this pack take on buffalo, let alone film it.

I think it's very unusual.

I mean, I've seen maybe four successful kills in 30 years around here.

Some of the dogs are still feeding on the buffalo,

but most of them are just laying around with massive stuffed bellies.

[chuckles] They can barely move.

Thankfully, this time, nobody has stolen their meal.

And they have this huge reward all to themselves.

The teamwork and the bravery of these dogs

to go after a massive group of angry buffalo.

It's just unbelievable.

Wild dogs are one of Africa's top predators.
但是牠们现在还能生存
But the fact that they're surviving right now

is nothing short of a miracle.

It has been eye-opening to witness the challenges this pack faces every day.

What an achievement by this pack to raise 14 pups to this age.

They've got a long road ahead.

If this pack can keep hunting successfully and raising these pups to adulthood,

that'll be an incredible contribution to this endangered wild dog population.
但不只是野犬
But it's not just down to the dogs.

Protecting this landscape,
