was fishing in the sea for the Serpent,

using a bull's head for bait.

Jormungand reared up
既惊且怒扭曲翻腾
and the waves pummeled the shore
滔天巨浪席卷海岸
as he twisted and writhed in a fury.
毒蛇与雷神势均力敌
They were well matched, Serpent and God,
战斗激烈
in that furious fight.
他们周身的海水沸腾了
The seas boiled around them,
然而最终鱼钩松动
but then the hook became dislodged,
巨蛇得以脱身
and the Serpent slithered free
并迅速沉隐于波涛之下
and sank again, so quickly, beneath the waves.

And soon, the sea was calm once more,

as if nothing had disturbed it.
