development projects in Norway.

You might say the whole waterfront of Oslo has been

a continuous construction site now for more than 25 years.

The new development includes the stunning Munch Museum.

This incredible new building looks like a pile of stacked papers.

It's clad and paved with 36,000 Italian white marble slabs.

28 kilometers of concrete piles,

each up to 55 meters long, reach down into the bedrock.

These hold the building steady just above the waterline.

And from above,

it's clear this building isn't just for sitting in.

The roof of the Opera House slopes steeply up from the water,

to the structure's peak,
