在所有的宗教中
"In all religions,
环境都是为人有益的基础要素
the environment is a fundamental good.
然则对环境的滥用与破坏
It's abuse and destruction, however,
还伴随着一系列持续的排斥过程
are accompanied by a continuous process of exclusion.
最贫乏的
The poorest
总是那在侵袭中受苦最多的
are the one who suffer most from the attacks
有三个非常严重的原因：
for three serious reasons:
他们被社会所抛弃
they are discarded by society,
又被迫
forced at the same time
靠别人的残羹剩饭过活
to live on the leftovers,
还要因环境被滥用
and have to suffer unjustly
遭受不公正的待遇
from the abuse of the environment.
这些现象
These phenomena correspond
与今日广泛而普遍
to today' s widespread
且还在暗中成长的
and quietly growing
浪费文化相呼应
'culture of waste’. ”
这对于我们所有人
This is a shame
每个人来说都是一种耻辱！
for each and everyone of us!
而且我们对此都有责任！
And we are all responsible!
没人能说
No one can say,
这件事不是我♥干♥的 与我无关
"I have nothing to do with this.”
我们都有责任
We are all responsible.
根据“自然的法则”，如果我们这么称呼的话
The "Law of nature”, if we call it that,
整个世界应当和睦与共
says that the world should live in harmony,
万物都应和谐共处
that all things should be in harmony,
所有受造物皆如此
the entire creation.
那么违背这万物和谐的事物
So things that go against this harmony of creation
就是坏的！
are bad!
我举个例子
I think for instance,
像是水，就遭受着
of water, contaminated
矿业排放的砷和氰化物的污染
by mining activities that spell arsenic and cyanide,
这是个例子
just a example.
就会导致
All this to the effect that
方圆几公里的区域
the surrounding area, for kilometers,
使用供水的人们
offers its population water
罹患疾病
that causes diseases.
然而政♥府♥却纵容这种事情发生！
But the government, allowed that to happen!
那我是否应该抵♥制♥纵容这种行为的法律呢？
So, do I resist fighting the law that allowed it?
当然了，因为我保护的是更大的益处！
Yes, I'm protecting a greater good!
是当地人们的健康
The health of that population
和全人类的益处
and the overall good of humanity.
所谓公益
The common good,
也正是圣方济各所思虑的
that's what Saint Francis had in mind.
在天主前所有人的合一与团结
The unison and solidarity of all humanity before God.
人与自然的和谐融洽
As well as a harmony with nature,
以及与方济各温柔的称为“大地姐妹”的地球母亲和睦共处
with "Sister Mother Earth", as he named her so tenderly.
圣方济各于他的时代是一位远见者
St Francis was a visionary in his time.
他很早就意识到 人和自然间的关系
He realized very early on that humanity's relationship to nature
失去了平衡 那时的我们
was getting out of balance, that we were,
且今日仍然如此 颠倒的看待我们的星球
well, we are still today looking at our planet upside down,
认为自己是它的主人，而不是它的照顾者
as its masters, not its caretakers.
圣方济各用意大利文写下了第一首诗
St Francis, wrote the first poem in the Italian language.
在他的《太阳颂》中
In his “Canticle of the Sun”he praised God
藉由万有赞美天主
through all creation.
至高 全能 至善的上主
"Most high, all-powerful, good Lord,
愿一切崇敬、荣耀与赞颂
yours are the praises, the glory,
永归于祢
the honour and all blessings.
至高者，这一切唯有祢当得起
To you alone, Most High, do they belong.
我主，愿祢因祢的一切造物受赞颂
Be praised, my Lord, through all your creatures,
尤为因着太阳弟兄
especially through my lord Brother Sun,
你藉着他给予我们白昼与光明
who brings the day and you give light though him.
我主，愿祢受赞颂
Praised be you, my Lord,
因着月亮姐妹和点点星辰
through Sister Moon and the stars.
祢在天国手造了她们 澄澈明亮 美丽无暇
in heaven you formed them clear and precious and beautiful.
我主，愿祢受赞颂 因着风弟兄
Praised be you, my Lord, through Brother Wind
因着澄碧之空与远淡黛云
and through the air cloudy and serene
因着每一种天气
and every kind of weather through which
祢藉着他们使万物得了慰藉
you give sustenance to your creatures.
我主，愿祢受赞颂
Praised be you, my Lord,
因着水姐妹 她予人裨益
through Sister Water, which is very useful
谦逊 可爱 而贞洁
and humble and precious and chaste.
我主，愿祢受赞颂 因着火弟兄
Praised be you, my Lord, through Brother Fire,
你藉着他予黑夜以光明
through whom you light the night,
他俊朗有趣 健壮坚毅
and he is beautiful and playful and robust and strong.
我主，愿祢受赞颂
Praised be you, my Lord,
因着如我们母亲般的大地姐妹
through Sister Mother Earth
她给养我们 看顾我们
who sustain us and governs us.
圣方济各，在历史上
Saint Francis, in histroy,
代表着
stands for
复兴基♥督♥的形象
a revitalization of the figure of Christ,
且是用彻底而绝对的方式
in a completely radical, absolute way.
他自身的贫穷，“贫穷姐妹”
His poverty, 'Sister Poverty'.
他对穷苦者和病困者的爱
His love of the poor and the sick,
还有关怀
and his care for them.
他的耐心
His patience
对人和人的软弱的耐心
with people and with their frality,
包括他弟兄和门徒们的软弱
including the frality of his brothers and disciples.
一个人
A man
拥有这样的耐心和理解
of such patience and understanding
也因而转变
then transforms
成为一个开放自身于对话的人
into a man of dialogue.
关于对话 我想指出一件事
Something I want to point out about dialogue,
在方济各身上常常体现
of which Francis had a lot.
而且我会用非常简单的言语来说
And I'll say it in very simple words、
他是耳朵的宗徒
He was the apostle of the ear.
他知道如何倾听！
Knowing how to listen!
有时候 现代世界的速度
At times, the speed of the modern world,
令人狂乱
is frenzy,
以至于我们无法好好倾听
keeps us from listening well
他人到底想说些什么
to what others are saying.
别人的话说到一半
Someone is halfway through a dialogue,
我们已经准备好打断了
and we already interrupt
想在别人说完之前就给出答复
and want to answer before the other one has finished talking.
不要失去倾听的能力！
Do not lose the capacity to listen!
而方济各就是一位倾听者 他倾听天主的声音
And Francis is a listener. He listened to the voice of God,
倾听困苦者的声音
he listened to the voice of the poor,
倾听病痛者的声音 也倾听自然的声音
to the voice of the sick, and to the voice of nature.
他将这一切转变为了生活的方式
And he transformed all of this into a way of life.
我希望方济各的种子
And I hope that the seed of Francis
能在许多人的心中生根发芽
grows in many hearts.

是个罪犯
A prisoner.
他被宣判死刑
He was sentenced to death
在基♥督♥身旁 后者告诉他
next to Christ, who told him...
“今天你就要与我一同在乐园里。”（路 23:43）
"Today you will be with me in paradise!"
社会必须从基♥督♥的这榜样中学习！
Society must learn from this example of Christ!
我们都需要获得原谅宽恕
We all need to receive forgiveness.
但天主在圣经中告诉我们：当祂宽恕时，
But God tell us in the bible "When He forgives,
祂就忘了！
He forgets!"
*“因为我要宽恕他们的过犯，不再记忆他们的罪恶。” 希 8:12
如果我说：“这人是个罪人，他做了这事！”
And if I say "This man is a sinner, he did that!"
那是我在犯罪！
I'm sinning!
因为当祂选择忘记时
Because when He forgets,
我算得什么能去选择不忘记？
who am I not to forget?
生活意味着
Living implies,
