忽然看见爱德华先生在她后面
And suddenly we saw Mr. Edward behind her on the battlements.
她也看见爱德华先生了
She saw him too.
爱德华先生想去救她
He came towards her to help her down.
那女人站着不动
She stood very still for a moment.
爱德华先生刚要去拉她她就尖叫一声
And just as he seemed to reach her, she gave a dreadful scream...
退到墙边
and ran from him to the edge.
接着就掉下来摔在我们面前
The next moment, she lay smashed on the pavement before us.
她死了爱尔小姐
She was dead, Miss Eyre.
爱德华先生呢？
Mr. Edward?
他下来的时候楼梯塌了
The great staircase fell in as he was coming down.
费尔菲克斯太太？是先生
Mrs. Fairfax? Yes, sir?
见鬼你到这边来干嘛？
What the deuce are you doing in this part of the house?
阿黛勒等着吃晚饭呢是先生
Adele is waiting for her supper. Yes, sir.

Who's there?

Edward. Edward.
是她的手指？
Her very fingers, huh?
纤细柔软的手指
Her small, soft fingers.
头发
Her hair.
一张美丽温柔的小脸
Her little flower-soft face.
还有一颗心简
And her heart too, Edward. Jane.
现在你的心里只有怜悯
All you can feel now is mere pity.

As the months went past, he came to see the light once more...

as well as to feel its warmth.
他先是看到灿烂的阳光而后是柔和的月光
To see first the glory of the sun and then the mild splendor of the moon...
再就是夜空的星星
and at last the evening star.
后来有一天他抱着我们出生的孩子
And then one day, when our first-born was put into his arms...
他也能看见那孩子长着一双跟他一样的眼睛
he could see that the boy had inherited his own eyes as they once were.
又大又黑又明亮
Large, brilliant and black.
