and he'll probably be quite happy to stay like that.

First thing I tend to do in the morning is some yoga stretches,

and Ted thinks this is a game invented especially for him.

Any moves that I do he's sort of moving around me -

Despite starting life as a farm cat,

Ted's now completely shunning his humble roots.

Ted doesn't roam as far as the farm cats -

A crucial time in the development of a kitten

is from two to eight weeks old.

It's called the socialisation period.

It's basically a biological period where the brain is developing, OK?

The cat is what we call an altricial species,

which means that the young are born poorly developed,

and the disadvantage of that is that

they're dependent on their mum for the first part of life

But the advantage is that the period of development

that would happen in the womb
