the different kinds of organisms that were going to revolve afterwards pretty much the same.

swim alongside their more primitive jaw-less cousins,

They even begin to invade freshwater lakes and streams on the continents.

Once a rare and lowly life form,

fish are now taking over our planet.

Every fish we know today,

They had big jaws, they were capable, probably a fairly rapid swimming,

But the scariest aspect is that they were huge.

Schools of fish make easy pickings for this beast,

which can charge at an explosive 8 feet per second.

For the fish survival is all about numbers,

traveling in schools means they can afford to lose a few individuals,

Life in the Silurian continues its dramatic spread into new habitats.

Again the world pulses with life,
多元化的物种以缓慢但又稳定的步伐进占海洋并世代定居于此
slowly, but surely diverse animal species invade and colonized the Earth's oceans.
我们的地球承受过多次大灭绝
Our planet has endured numerous mass extinctions.
没有人能预测下一场大灾难什么时候会降临
No one can predict when the next one will strike,
但是就像日日夜夜和四季变迁一直永恒不变的交替一样
but assures the cycles of day tonight, and season to season,
我们一定还会再一次面对考验
we will be tested again.
如果在未来有一次伽马射线暴袭击地球
If a gamma-ray burst were to strike Earth in the future,
这会没有任何的警告
there would be no warning.
事实上死亡射线就可能已经在袭击地球的路上了
In fact, death rays could already be on their way.
