in panicking, honking, searching for mates,

it would have been chaotic.

In just this first day,

the dinosaurs fate was sealed.

Scientists don't know for certain how quickly they disappeared,

perhaps hours, perhaps days, months or years.

I think almost everyone would agree that

paved the way for our ancient ancestors to inherit the Earth.

Perhaps there is something for us to learn from this swift and catastrophic extinction,

There may be an asteroid or comet circling our solar system

it would take a lot more than Bruce Willis

to save human civilization.

These movies deep impact in armageddon gave us this false sense of security of

"Wow, we can nudge them, we can move them,"

小的小行星也许可以
You can on a small asteroid,
但是大的就不行
a big one, No.
我们不可能把大颗的小行星移开
It's not to be possible to move a big one out of the way.
如果它是跟白垩纪第三纪灭绝事件里一样大或者更大的小行星的话
Anything K-T size or larger,
如果它要撞击我们就一定会被撞上
if it's going to hit us is going to hit us,
即使人们做了再多努力也只是白费力气
and nothing humans can do or going to stop it.
