Well, yes, they did, but we looked a little bit more closely

and it turns out they weren't actually solid 3D shapes.

It was all just a magic trick.

Let me explain.

And this is a nice simple hack you can do at home.

Just take an old CD case,

if you still have one of these at home.

Now, this is a hi-tech version of the technology that you'd find

in a cooled air humidifier.

Tap water is pumped into a fog tank

where it's blasted with ultrasound,

turning it into a thick fog made of tiny water particles.

So it uses this mist to display the image.

So this doesn't actually create our image.
