We had very few viewers,to me it was like,what?come on
怎么没有更多的人看呢
Why aren't more people watching the show
发现这剧连当年的谷歌♥搜索排行榜都没上 我当时就震惊了
And I was a little bit dumbfounded that it didn't seem to be registering at all in the Zeitgeist
收视率一般般 但也有一小拨坚定的追随者
Very moderate ratings very small,but mighty following
Dean当时正在和我讨论收视率的事 他问我看了没
Dean was talking about our ratings and he asked me if I looked at that
我说没有 因为我想 你能怎么办呢
And I said,no,because,I was like,what are you gonna do

Act harder well you know,I'm kind of trying

But if we need more numbers,I'm really gonna focus

By season 2 we all got really excited about having Walt and Jesse scenes

It kinda felt like it was turning into a two-hander

In another words,the show is very much about Walter White
但是渐渐地也变成了Jesse的剧
But it's also becoming very much about Jesse Pinkman
Michael Slovis在第二季的时候加入了我们
Michael Slovis started with us in season 2
在视觉方面他把本片推上了更高的一层楼
And I think very much elevated the show in terms of its look
氛围更加黑暗 人物故事更加如履薄冰
He made it even darker,even edgier
第二季带来了Bob和Jonathan
It brought the arrival of Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks
整个剧在不断演进 故事变得越来越庞大
The show was evolving and it was getting bigger

Season 3 gets a little bit darker

So now we get to season 5
不幸的是 在我的编剧团队的帮助下我意识到
Unfortunately,I came to realization with the help of my writers
我们只有16集左右的故事可以拍了
That we had about only 16 or more episodes of story left to us
Vince一开始就说了他准备在这剧表现良好的时候结束
Vince said from the beginning that he wanted to end the show when it's doing well
而他现在只有这么多集剩下了
And that he only had only so many episodes
这并不是一个容易的决定 但是在某种程度上 我知道必须要完结了
It's not an easy decision to make,but at a certain point,I knew it had to end
冒一点风险 结束的早总比结束太晚更好
I know it's better to risk ending it a bit too soon than to end too late

写最后一段剧情是一个挑战 部分是因为大家真的很爱我们剧
Breaking the final leg was a challenge,partially because people do love the show
所以我们真的想好好回馈大家
And we really wanted to pay it off
Skyler必须为了她的孩子保持坚强
She has to remain strong for her kids
要不就是她彻底崩溃无法再坚强起来
Or else she just so devastated that she can't remain strong any more
也是因为我们剧在评论界美誉连连 我们更加压力山大
There was a lot of pressure because also the show has been critically acclaimed
那逼着我们想创意到想到发晕
And that can create a sense of creative vertigo
