《白雪公主》
很久以前 有个祥和的王国
Once upon a time, there was a peaceful kingdom
由贤能的国王和皇后统治
ruled by a virtuous queen and king.
他们最大的希望是有个孩子
More than anything, they wished for a child.
一个冬天的夜晚 暴风雪席卷大地
One winter's night, a blizzard swept through their land,
整个王国被厚厚的冰与雪覆盖着
blotting out the kingdom in a bitter storm of snow and ice,
倒是留下了最珍贵的礼物
but leaving them a most precious gift.
一位公主诞生
A princess was born.
她父母为了纪念那个夜晚
To honor the night she arrived,
将她取名为白雪公主
her parents named the girl Snow White.
小时候 国王和皇后教导白雪公主
As she grew, the king and queen taught Snow White
大地的物产属于耕耘这片土地的人
that the bounty of the land belonged to all who tended it.
他们教她怎么用爱统治
They showed her how to rule with love.
因为将来她的命运就是领导
For someday, her destiny would be to lead.
这片土地上

as Snow White grew into a kind and fair young princess.
但是 悲剧降临了
But then, tragedy struck.
白雪公主的母亲生病
Snow White's mother fell ill.
好皇后去世
And the Good Queen died.
白雪公主和国王都心碎了
Snow White and the king were heartbroken.
后来
Until...
一位来自远方 极度妖媚的女人到了城♥堡♥
an enchanting woman from a far-off land appeared at the palace.
她的外表如此美丽
So great was her beauty that it seemed
就象是赐给了她超越平凡人的力量
to grant her powers beyond the ordinary.
她嫁给了国王
She married the king,
不过她表里不一
but she was not what she appeared.
她的内心邪恶
She was evil
只关注自己的美貌
and cared only about her own beauty
还有它带来的权力
and the power it granted.
为了保护这份权力
To protect that power,
她拥有一面魔镜
she kept a magic mirror
不过它只能够回答一个问题
which could answer but one simple question.

The new queen wasted no time seizing power.

She warned of a terrible threat from beyond the Southern Kingdom.

并将王国所有的财富据为己有
and robbed the riches of the kingdom for herself.
她让白雪公主变成仆人
She made Snow White a servant
并把她锁在城♥堡♥高墙之内
and locked her away behind the castle walls.
不过只要魔镜每天回复皇后 皇后貌美绝世
But as long as the mirror answered the queen each day that she was the fairest,
白雪公主就不会因为皇后的忌妒 而受到伤害
Snow White remained safe from the queen's cruel jealousy.
